Laurie's No-Pay MBA Transcript

I used massive open online courses (MOOCs) from platforms like Coursera and edX to get a business education equivalent to an MBA - for less than 1/100th the cost of a traditional MBA. My program of study was self directed, and it didn’t result in a degree, but it did give me a solid grounding in business concepts and skills.

Below is a transcript of the courses I took as part of my studies. If you are contemplating doing a No-Pay MBA, you will get the best results by following the recommendations in my book Don’t Pay For Your MBA.

Projects

Early in my No-Pay MBA, I did an internship with a startup called Coursolve. I described that experience in this blog post.

For my final project, I started a small business helping other independent business students meet one another and study together. I called the business the No-Pay MBA Network. It ran for nearly two years. Starting and running a business was an incredible learning experience. One of the big highlights was booking Steve Blank to talk to the members of the network.
